Prof. Christopher Imumolen offers N276m scholarship to 138 secondary school students to Support students’ sport talents

An Academia, Prof. Christopher Imumolen has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to help youth realise their dreams in the area of sports.

A statement made available to The PUNCH said the scholar gave this advice at a sporting event that took place at Baptist Academy, Obanikoro, adding that it was in partnership with the Nigeria-America Football Association, Lagos State Ministry of Education, and Lagos State Sports Commission.

He also offered a N276m scholarship to 138 secondary school students who emerged as the best in the Nigeria Secondary School Flag Off for Football League.

Imumolen, who is the presidential aspirant of, Accord Party said his belief was that the young generation should be supported, saying this would help them realise their vision and passion, especially in the area of sports.

He said, “This tournament is not the first one. We have been doing this for the past fifteen years without making noise and we are just involving the media.

“Apparently, the kind of leader we need in Nigeria is the type that can render assistance, especially, to the young ones who are the future.

Director, Schools Sports, Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr Oluyomi Oluwasanmi, who was represented by the Deputy Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr  Sola Aiyepekun advised other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate Imumolen and impact on children who would be leaders of tomorrow.
