Professor Hadiza Hamma, a renowned legal scholar from Yobe State, has made history by becoming the youngest female Professor of Law in Northeast Nigeria.

She teaches at the University of Abuja, where she has distinguished herself in legal scholarship and academia.

Professor Hamma's academic journey is marked by several notable achievements. She graduated with a Second-Class Upper degree in Law from the University of Abuja and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006. She later earned her Master's degree in 2011 and PhD in 2016 from the same institution. Additionally, she holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Development Practice from Harvard University, where she was honored with the Dean's Prize for Outstanding Development Practice Capstone.

Her research focuses on investment treaties, sexual and reproductive health rights, and access to justice, particularly in Nigeria. Professor Hamma has published over 30 works, including books, book chapters, and research articles in prestigious journals .
