Professor Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam Appointed MD of Ajaokuta Steel Company

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam as the new Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State, effective April 3, 2025.

Professor Abdulsalam brings a wealth of academic experience, having lectured in the Department of Physics at the University of Abuja and rising to the rank of Professor of Applied Geophysics in 2023.

With an impressive educational background, including degrees from the University of Abuja and the University of London, Professor Abdulsalam is well-equipped to lead the steel company. His research and academic achievements have earned him recognition as a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Physics and membership in prestigious professional societies.
