Professor Uche Ugwuanyi Appointed New Dean of ESUT's Faculty of Management Sciences

The Faculty of Management Sciences at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has appointed Professor Uche Ugwuanyi as the new Dean. Professor Ugwuanyi, who was elected unopposed, is also the Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, where he has made significant improvements. He succeeds Professor Chioma Oleka, the faculty’s first female dean.

The Board of the Faculty of Management Sciences at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has officially appointed Professor Uche Ugwuanyi as the new Dean. This decision was made on Thursday, August 15th with Professor Ugwuanyi being elected unopposed as the sole candidate for the position.

Prof. Ugwuanyi, who also serves as the Director of the university’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), is credited with significantly transforming the center during his tenure. He succeeds Professor Chioma Oleka, the faculty’s first female dean, who has been noted for her dedicated service.

A distinguished academic in accounting, Prof. Ugwuanyi hails from Orba in Udenu Local Government Area, Enugu State. He holds a B.Sc. and MBA in Accounting from ESUT, a Master of Science in Marketing with a specialization in Public Relations from the University of Nigeria, and an M.Sc./Ph.D. in Accounting from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.

Prof. Ugwuanyi has held several key leadership roles within ESUT, including Director of Industrial Training and his current role at the EDC. His extensive experience and contributions to both academic and entrepreneurial development have made a lasting impact on the university community.
