In a remarkable testament to hard work and dedication, Dr. Josephine Anene-Okeakwa, the provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Delta State, revealed her inspiring journey from a humble beginning as a petty trader to her current position. Speaking at the celebration of her 3rd year anniversary as Provost, organized by the Directorate of Consultancy Services of the College, she shared her determination and commitment to making a positive impact on the institution.

Dr. Anene-Okeakwa, who expressed gratitude for her divine appointment, recounted her early days as a petty trader at the Ogbe-Ogonogo Market in Asaba. She emphasized the role of hard work, patience, and dedication in her rise to the top, highlighting her experience as a garri and orange seller. Her journey began at the college in the early '90s as a youth corps member, where she pioneered the Home Economics Department before ascending to her current role.

Acknowledging the role of the Chairman of Governing Council, Prof Kabiru Ishyaku, she credited his fatherly support for the significant achievements recorded during her three years in office. Dr. Anene-Okeakwa encouraged the college's management and staff to redouble their efforts in the service of the institution, assuring that every positive contribution would be highly appreciated.

She concluded her address by expressing her dedication to positively impacting the college and her commitment to maintaining the institution's dignity. While acknowledging that corrections made during her administrative responsibilities were not intended to hurt anyone, she urged the college community to work collaboratively for the institution's progress.
