Rayhaan University Holds Maiden Student Orientation, VC Emphasizes Academic Excellence
Rayhaan University, Birnin-Kebbi, recently held its maiden student orientation program, marking a significant milestone in the institution's history.
The event, attended by dignitaries, parents, and guardians, set the tone for a promising academic journey for the new students.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammed L. Ahmadu admonished the newly admitted students to focus on academic excellence and the university's core values, which include innovation, diversity, and social responsibility. He emphasized the importance of remaining focused, disciplined, and committed to achieving success in their academic and personal lives.¹
Prof. Ahmadu also encouraged students to take advantage of the university's career guidance and counseling services to ensure their success in the future. Various speakers enlightened the students on what is expected of them as pioneers of the institution.
The newly admitted students expressed their gratitude to the founder, Mallam Abubakar Malami SAN, for establishing a world-class university in Nigeria's largest geopolitical zone. They pledged to dedicate themselves to academic excellence and upholding the university's values.
During the event, Registrar Mallam Usman Abdulmalik Ngaski announced that admission into the Stream B, 2024/2025 Academic Session would commence in two weeks. Interested applicants can visit the university's website or the VC's Complex for further enquiries on registration and enrollment.
The orientation program was attended by notable dignitaries, including Prof. Malami Muhammad Maishanu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
