Redeemer’s University Announces Dates for 16th Convocation Ceremony
The management of Redeemer’s University has officially released the schedule for its 16th convocation ceremony, which will take place over a nine-day period from Wednesday, October 2, to Friday, October 11, 2024.

The management of Redeemer’s University has officially released the schedule for its 16th convocation ceremony, which will take place over a nine-day period from Wednesday, October 2, to Friday, October 11, 2024, at the university’s main campus in Ede, Osun State.
According to a statement addressed to the graduands, the convocation events will begin with a live interview with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, on Wednesday, October 2. The interview will be aired on OSBC TV at 11:30 a.m., followed by another session on OSBC Radio at 1:15 p.m. The media interviews will be broadcast from Osogbo, Osun State. On Thursday, October 3, at 9:30 a.m., the Vice-Chancellor will also appear on Redeemer’s 103.5 FM, based at the university.
The graduating students will participate in a special visitor’s meeting following the Holy Communion service at the RCCG Simawa Arena on Thursday. Spiritual activities will continue with an Anointing Service on Friday, October 4, during the Holy Ghost Service, also at the RCCG Simawa Arena.
A Thanksgiving Service is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, at 9:00 a.m. in the University Auditorium, Ede, marking a moment of reflection and gratitude for the accomplishments of the graduating class.
On Monday, October 7, the university will host a press conference at 1:00 p.m. in the Senate Chamber, followed by a sporting event at 4:00 p.m. at the RUN Sports Arena, both located on the Ede campus.
Tuesday, October 8, will feature an Awards and Recognition ceremony for distinguished students at 10:00 a.m., followed by an Alumni Cocktail at 6:00 p.m. in the University Auditorium.
A key highlight of the week will be the convocation lecture, Anchored in Faith: Succeeding with Integrity in a Dynamic World, delivered by Mr. Alex Okoh, Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. in the University Auditorium. The day will conclude with a convocation play at 7:00 p.m. in the BOJA Hall.
The main convocation ceremony, where degrees and diplomas will be awarded, is scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. in the University Auditorium. Graduating students will be celebrated in the presence of faculty, family, and friends.
In addition to the convocation activities, Redeemer’s University has announced that freshers for the 2024/2025 academic session are to resume on October 14, while returning students are expected back on October 21, 2024.
