Redeemer's University Celebrates 17th Convocation and 20th Anniversary

Redeemer's University, Ede, Osun State, has held its 17th Convocation Ceremony alongside its 20th Anniversary celebration. A total of 1,336 students graduated, with 185 earning First Class Honours and 662 bagging Second Class Upper degrees.

Joel Durugbo from the Department of Mechanical Engineering emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student with a perfect 5.0 CGPA. The university also celebrated its remarkable debut in the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, emerging 2nd overall in Nigeria and 1st in Africa for SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation).

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, praised the dedication of staff and students, describing the faculty as "the invisible architects" of the university's success. Distinguished guests, including representatives of the National Universities Commission and the Governor of Osun State, applauded the university's leadership in research, innovation, and national development.
