In an extraordinary display of academic prowess, 27-year-old African scholar Grace Ogwo has achieved significant milestones by attaining two master's degrees and a doctorate in Mathematics.

Grace, a Nigerian graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia, earned her bachelor's degree in Mathematics with first-class honors. Subsequently, she was awarded a Mastercard Scholarship, enabling her to pursue postgraduate studies.

Under the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), Grace secured a scholarship to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She successfully graduated with an impressive 72% grade.

Undeterred by her initial academic challenges, Grace pursued another master's degree in mathematics at the University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa, securing a fee remission. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with an outstanding 81% grade in 2019.

In a remarkable culmination of her academic journey, Grace has now earned a doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, accompanied by twenty publications.

Reflecting on her achievements, Grace shared her early struggles, revealing that she initially scored a D7 in her Senior Secondary Certificate Examination and a C6 in her National Examination Council. Despite these challenges, she excelled at the university, dedicating her success to her late father.

Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, Grace is also contributing to education as a Mathematics Tutor, helping students develop a clear understanding of the subject.
