Retired Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse, Homosexual Activities in Anambra State
A retired teacher, Ike Okoye, has been arrested by the Anambra State Government for sexually molesting and engaging in homosexual activities with young boys in Isuofia. The suspect allegedly confessed to romancing and fondling the boys but denied penetration.
A retired teacher, Ike Okoye, has been arrested by the Anambra State Government in collaboration with Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra. Okoye is accused of sexually molesting and engaging in homosexual activities with young boys in Isuofia.
Chidinma Ikeanyionwu, Media Aide to the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, stated that Ike Okoye was apprehended following a report made to the Ministry by Chief Chikadibia Okeke, the President-General of Isuofia People’s Assembly.

The suspect allegedly confessed to romancing and fondling the boys but denied penetration. Two victims, aged 25 and 31, came forward, claiming that Okoye molested them under the guise of offering financial assistance or chores in exchange for payment.
Expressing sadness over the incident, the Commissioner and the Managing Director of OCHA Brigade assured the public of the state government’s commitment to ending child molestation and homosexuality. “We are committed to protecting children and young individuals from predators,” they stated.

Ike Okoye has been handed over to the police for further investigation and is set to face charges in court.
