Secondly, Abdul Rahman spoke when he hosted the indigenes of Lafia working in the University who, in return, visited Abdul Rahman to thank him for the role he played as far as the establishment of the hospital is concerned.

Already, checks carried out by the FULafia Bulletin have revealed that the construction of the masjid has commenced.

According to the vice-chancellor, the construction of the masjid would last for only five months from August, 2024.

The vice-chancellor thanked the sponsor of the masjid construction from Saudi Arabia for his kind gesture, saying that such an action “can only be rewarded by Allah.”

He urged them to see the masjid project as a blessing to the people and community, praying that the development would lead Muslims in the area and beyond to further understand and practice their religion.

He called on other well-to-do Muslims to devote huge chunks of their energies and resources to the development of their religion."
