Secretary of KASU School of Postgraduate Studies emerges Vice Chairman of CSPGCS

In a recent development, Mr. Lucky Bala Kantoma, the Secretary of the Kaduna State University School of Postgraduate Studies, has emerged as the Vice Chairman of the Committee of Secretaries of the Postgraduate Colleges/Schools (CSPGCS) in Nigerian Universities.

This decision was made during the maiden meeting and 3rd workshop of the Committee held at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja, from 21st to 23rd February 2024. The Committee unanimously agreed on a two-year tenure for the Executive Committee, with positions allocated to each of the six geopolitical zones, emphasizing institutional affiliation over state/region of origin.

The new officials, selected through consultations and consensus, include:

1. Chairman - Dr. Titilayo Owolabi (South West/Babcock)

2. Vice Chairman - Mr. Lucky Bala Kantoma (North West/KASU)

3. Honorary Secretary - Mrs. Folashade T. Oritigun (North Central/NOUN)

4. Treasurer - Mrs. Nfom Udom (South South/UNIUYO)

5. Financial Secretary - Dr Hassan Tanko (North East/ADSU)

6. Internal Auditor - Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Chiji Albi-Oparaocha, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State (South East/AE-FUNAI)

Furthermore, the positions will rotate between universities in the north and south after each two-year term, ensuring equal representation. The Kaduna State University community extends congratulations to Mr. Kantoma on this significant achievement.
