Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, advocates leveraging tertiary institutions as research centers for ministries to address challenges in the healthcare industry. During an interactive session with the Senate Committee on Health and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Pate, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan suggested that this approach could generate funds for Nigerian universities while fostering indigenous solutions for healthcare and other sectors requiring further research and development.
