Sex Worker Appeals to Government to Help Her Complete Her Education

A sex Worker has issued an appeal to the government to help her complete her education.

Myschoolnews reports the sex worker who pleaded anonymity said helping her complete her education and find a job is the only way she could be taken out of her job.

She said "I have had so many ugly experiences being a sex worker ; I had physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and I was arrested by the police and task force several times.

"I do not have any business to the except for the government, which will help train me on something to do, help me finish my education and find a job, or help me start a business.

"That is the only way I can stop because I have my family to take care of. I have my mother and my younger siblings, though my father died three years ago and I don't have anybody that is helping me.This is what I do to take care of my family, if I stop how do I feed them?."

She thereafter called on relevant stakeholders to do more in empowering young girls to prevent them from plying the same route of being commercial sex workers.
