The General Studies Department in collaboration with the music and theater club at Skyline University Nigeria (SUN), has organized a Music and Theater Day. The event was conducted in the university’s ultra-modern common room.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ajayi Olumide, the Head of the Department of General Studies at SUN, said that the event was organized to help students appreciate cultures and the positive impact of unifying communities together. He thanked the management of the university for always supporting such wonderful initiatives that will increase students culture.

Students presented drama, songs, dance and poems with a focus on indigenous cultural practices. Student actors and artists had an opportunity to show their talents across different genres. They were also able to represent the diverse cultures within the country, such as Igala, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, among others.

In their various remarks, Habiba Magaji Bala and Muhsin Ado, students of SUN who participated in the event as masters of the ceremony, explained that the event gave them the opportunity to learn about heritage. They said it brought SUN communities together by providing a shared space for them to enjoy and participate in various activities.
