Sule Lamido University (SLU) welcomed the Jigawa State Implementation Committee on the Approved Recommendations of the Whitepaper Committee on Five Educational Tertiary Institutions in the State. The meeting aimed to review progress and address any issues in implementing the recommendations.
The committee, led by the State Head of Civil Service (HOS) Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, visited SLU to evaluate the University's compliance with the Whitepaper report. Representing the HOS, Malam Abdullahi Hudu, Special Advisor to the Governor on School Monitoring, emphasized the importance of these recommendations for enhancing the state's education sector.

Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Yakasai, Vice-Chancellor of SLU, presented a detailed slide show outlining the University's achievements related to the Whitepaper recommendations. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, both within and outside the University, in the implementation process.
Malam Muhammad D. Nasiru, the Pioneer Registrar of SLU and committee member, praised the University for its accomplishments since its inception. He acknowledged the expansion of programs and faculties and noted the State Government’s plans to establish a Faculty of Medicine as significant steps toward human development.
