Sokoto Students Build Electric Car as Final-Year Project

Fifteen graduating students of Brilliant Footsteps International Academy in Sokoto State have successfully built an electric vehicle as part of their final-year project.

The innovation is a significant step towards transforming Africa's educational system, according to Professor Shadi Sabeh, the school's General Managing Director.

The project, undertaken by 10 girls and five boys, demonstrates the school's commitment to functional education and exposing students to practical skills. The electric vehicle was built from scratch with support from the Micro Electric Vehicle Company.

The vehicle comprises three major sections: mechanical, electrical, and bodywork. It has passed safety and durability tests, and the battery system is designed to prevent fire hazards. The vehicle can run for six to seven hours on a single charge .
