Prof. Stella Chiemeke, Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, has urged Christians, especially students, to cultivate a deeper relationship with God.
She made this call during the 2024 harvest thanksgiving service at the Anglican Chapel of Grace, University of Delta Agbor.
In her message, themed “Our God Will Prosper Us” and based on Psalm 146, Prof. Chiemeke outlined the keys to divine prosperity, including faith, obedience, cheerful giving, humility, prayer, and repentance. She encouraged the congregation to live according to God’s commandments and reflect His glory in their daily lives.
“God loves a cheerful giver. Give with a smile and offer Him your whole heart. Dedicate your time to building your faith, and He will guide and prosper you,” she said.
The service featured drama performances, choir ministrations, and fundraising for the chapel's vicarage project. Prof. Chiemeke praised the students and staff for their commitment to spiritual growth and emphasized that faith and spirituality are integral to both personal and academic success.
Revd. Canon C.C. Obiaigwe thanked the Vice Chancellor for her support, noting that her presence underscored the university’s dedication to fostering a spiritually enriching environment for students.
