Talented Nigerian Artist Honours Hilda Baci

In a remarkable display of skill, Joshua Chigbo, a talented artist from Nigeria, has created a breathtaking portrait of renowned chef Hilda Baci, celebrating her extraordinary feat of entering the Guinness World Records.

On the momentous date of June 13, 2022, Guinness World Records officially announced Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest individual cooking marathon, clocking an impressive time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

In a statement published on their website, the GWR expressed, “After a meticulous assessment of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a remarkable time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”

This remarkable achievement by the 26-year-old Nigerian chef took place from Thursday, May 11 to Monday, May 15. Throughout her four-day kitchen extravaganza, Hilda cooked over 100 pots of food. Although she aimed for a record of 100 hours, a minor deduction of almost seven hours was made from her final total due to an inadvertent error in calculating one of her rest breaks early in the attempt.

The news of Hilda Baci’s triumph in becoming the longest cooking marathon individual was met with elation from countless Nigerians. Among those celebrating her incredible accomplishment was Joshua, who immortalized her achievement through his skillful pen strokes, creating a stunning portrait of the chef.
