Taraba State University Partners with Nigerian Environmental Society

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako today, receives the Officials of The Nigerian Environmental Society NES in his office, the team lead by Dr. Andesikuted Yakubu Ali National Council Member were in the Vice-Chancellor's office to pay him a courtesy visit.

Taraba State University Partners with Nigerian Environmental Society

 The visit is inline with the effective collaboration between the University and Management of NES. The National Council Member stated that, Nigerian Environmental Society came into existence since 1985 in Lagos Nigeria and has since undertaken her activities mostly in the south where oil and gas exploration and exploitation are predominantly impacting the environment regressively.

There's no doubt that the issues of population growth, waste generation, water scarcity and pollution of all sorts have combined to cause variability and changes in climate across different parts of the world. These and many other reasons are a serious call for actions to save the environment for now and future generations. 

Having said this, there is  need for establishing a chapter in our State and of course other parts of the country cannot be overstated.

The member Governing council representing the central states has seen Taraba state University as the turning point of this great achievement. He went ahead and conferred the Vice chancellor the  title of The Patron of the Nigerian Environmental Society NES , Taraba state chapter.

The Vice-Chancellor after receiving the title thanked the team for identifying with the University and of course the Vice-Chancellor and promised to support them in every possible way anytime, anywhere, anyday, when the need arises.
