Taraba State University Students' Union Suspends Officials Over Dues Violation

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Taraba State University has suspended officials of two student associations for violating the approved dues limit

The affected associations are the Peace and Conflict Students Association (PECOSA) and Educational Foundations Students Association.

The suspended officials include the President, Financial Secretary, and Treasurer of each association. The SUG cited the violation of the ₦800 limit set for union dues as the reason for the suspension.

The Vice Presidents of the affected unions have been directed to assume interim leadership, performing only administrative and oversight functions pending the outcome of investigations.

The SUG warned the suspended officials against parading themselves in official capacity or interfering with union activities, threatening disciplinary action and removal by university security.
