TETFund Delegation Visits University for Research Commercialization Mission

A delegation from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) visited the university on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, for a commercial validation exercise.

The team, led by Dr. Salihu Girei Bakari, Director of Research, Development and Centre of Excellence, aimed to identify innovative research projects with potential for commercialization.

The visit's core objective was to spotlight research that can be translated into tangible products or services, reflecting TETFund's mission to harness academic research to solve practical challenges and stimulate economic growth.

The University's Registrar, Ahmed Alhaji Lawan, representing the Vice-Chancellor, expressed gratitude to TETFund for its continued partnership and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to research excellence. He highlighted the university's strides in agricultural innovation and other critical areas.

The visit demonstrates TETFund's efforts to elevate Nigeria's universities into engines of national development by commercializing research outputs.
