TETFUND Monitoring Team Commends FUTMinna Research Excellence

A Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Monitoring and Verification Team has praised the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna) for its research excellence. The team visited FUT Minna to assess the implementation and progress of two research projects funded by TETFUND.

The team leader, Prof. Lawal Bilbis, commended the quality of research outputs and the clarity of presentations made by FUT Minna researchers. He emphasized the importance of commercializing research outputs, urging the university to prioritize funding for prototype development and forge partnerships with investors for mass production.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the university's commitment to research with real-world impact. He announced plans to establish a Research and Innovation Park to consolidate patented research outcomes and foster collaborations with industry for commercialization.

The visit evaluated two research projects, and the TETFUND team commended the vibrant research environment at FUT Minna, expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality received during their visit.
