Twin Sisters Achieve Top Honors as Best Graduating Students, Headed to Yale for Computer Science
The competitive spirit between the twins played a pivotal role in their academic success. Competing with each other, they pushed the boundaries of their studies, using each other as a source of motivation and improvement.

In a remarkable achievement, twin sisters Gloria and Victoria Guerrier have emerged as the best graduating students of West Hempstead Secondary School in Los Angeles, setting an exemplary academic record with grade point averages of 105.3 and 104.9, respectively. The sisters, who describe their accomplishment as the realization of a long-held dream, were honored as Valedictorian and Salutatorian, securing their positions at the pinnacle of their graduating class.
Reflecting on their journey, Gloria expressed, "It was nice just to know that I made it and I achieved my dream that I’ve been wanting for so long." Victoria added, "We had been working for this for a long time but we never know what can happen in the four years, so we’re very happy that it turned out the way we wanted."

The competitive spirit between the twins played a pivotal role in their academic success. As Gloria stated, "It’s like the saying, ‘How iron sharpens iron.’ We really use each other to improve upon ourselves, I think that level of competition between us was what really helped us."
Joseph Pumo, the Principal of West Hempstead Secondary School, expressed pride in the sisters' achievements, highlighting their determined spirit and persistence. He remarked, "From the very beginning, the first time anybody meets them, you can tell that they are special young ladies."
In addition to their academic prowess, the Guerrier sisters are athletic standouts, earning All-State honors in track and field during their time at West Hempstead Secondary School. They plan to continue their athletic pursuits in college.
The sisters, who have been admitted to Yale University in Connecticut, intend to major in computer science, specifically focusing on artificial intelligence. Victoria shared advice for fellow students, urging them not to doubt themselves and emphasizing that anything is possible with determination. Gloria expressed her interest in science and math, contemplating a focus on devices and apparatuses for consumers.
The Guerrier sisters aim to major in the same field, with Victoria leaning towards neural technology to assist patients with physical disabilities, while Gloria envisions contributing to the development of consumer-oriented devices and apparatuses.
