UBTH Announces Essential Training for Elder Care Aides

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), in collaboration with Benin Geriatrics Outreach, Announces Essential Training for Elder Care Aides (Cohort 2).

The training program, spanning three weeks, offers a comprehensive and intensive curriculum designed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors to provide compassionate and respectful care for older individuals. Trainees will engage in supervised hands-on practicums to enhance their practical skills.

Course Fee: N350,000 per trainee (includes registration and medical screening fees). 

Minimum Requirements:

Age 18 years and above (individuals aged 60 years and above are welcome).

O'Level certificate with credits in English and Biology (higher certifications/degrees would be advantageous).

Commitment to devote three uninterrupted weeks to the training program.

Training Date: 7th - 28th March 2024

Training Venue: University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Nigeria.

Certification: Trainees who successfully meet all requirements will become UBTH Certified Elder Care Aides
