Ahmed Musa Appreciates UBTH CMD, Prof Obaseki for his Contribution to Sport Development

On Monday, 29th January 2023, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Prof. Darlington Ewaen Obaseki received a signed jersey from the captain of Nigeria Male National football team, Ahmed Musa appreciating his efforts on sports development in Edo State.

On Monday, 29th January 2023, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Prof. Darlington Ewaen Obaseki received a signed jersey from the captain of Nigeria Male National football team, Ahmed Musa appreciating his efforts on sports development in Edo State.

The Super Eagles captain on his jersey autographed and penned an appreciation message to the Sport-loving CMD, thanking him for his visible efforts in sport development.

“Thank you very much for what you have been doing in sport. Thanks Sir, " the text read.

Appreciating the kind gesture, the CMD promised to be in Côte d'Ivoire to cheer the National team should they make it past Angola in the quarter final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations 2023.

The jersey was delivered to Prof. Obaseki in his office by Edo FA Board member and FIFA/CAF accredited photojournalist, Kennedy Ugbodaga. This is coming after Prof. Obaseki oversaw the construction of the UBTH Sports Complex which includes a 350-seater mini stadium which was commissioned on January 1, 2024.

Present at the commissioning were important dignitaries including the Edo State Governor Chief of Staff, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha, Nigeria Football Federation Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen, Bendel Insurance Coach, Monday Odigie amongst others.
