UDUS Issues Urgent Directive: New Students Must Print JAMB Admission Letters Before February
The management of Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDUS) has directed all newly admitted and inter-faculty transfer students for the 2025/26 academic session to finalize their JAMB documentation ahead of the upcoming matriculation.
This was contained in a circular released on 29th of January, 2026, and signed by the University Registrar, Mal. Ahmadu Shehu, in which the university emphasized that all students must complete their JAMB documentation ahead of the upcoming matriculation ceremony.
The circular reads in part. “In line with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) regulations for the University guidelines, it is a mandatory prerequisite for every student to be fully ‘CAPS - complaint’ before they can be formally matriculated.”
The circular added that the University has set a strict deadline as 25th of February, 2026, coinciding with the 2025/26 matriculation ceremony. Meanwhile, all students must print their original JAMB admission letters and complete verification by this date to ensure inclusion in the official records.
The circular further addressed students with documentation discrepancies, particularly those who have transferred programs. Moreover, students whose University Admission Confirmation Letter differs from their JAMB letter are urged to contact JAMB immediately so that their records align correctly.
The circular warned that non-compliance will have serious consequences. Specifically, students who fail to meet the deadline will neither appear on the matriculation list, receive a matriculation number, nor be officially recognized as UDUS students.
Hence, the university therefore urged all affected students to act promptly to secure their academic status.
