Members of the Umuhu Okabia Comprehensive Secondary School Alumni Association, located in Orsu Local Government Area, Imo State, have issued a heartfelt plea for the reconstruction of their alma mater.

Following a devastating fire that destroyed the school, alumni president Mr. Denis C. Ihediri highlighted the detrimental impact on students, who are now forced into makeshift learning environments.

With dropout rates soaring to over 80%, the alumni stress the urgency of restoring quality education for the students' future and community development.

The association, spearheaded by the 1995 set, has been actively engaged in fundraising efforts and support initiatives, including assisting sick members and funding the education of teachers.

Plans for a community reunion and support for teachers are underway as the alumni strive to rebuild and revitalize their beloved school.
