Ten undergraduate students of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) have won a grant of N3,772,000 million to undertake research in their various areas of study.

The  grant winners included  Suleiman Ridwan Olanrewaju, Isa Adam Olamide,  and Aiyedero Mercy Oluwaseun -  from the Faculty of  Veterinary Medicine;  Onigbinde Collins Oluwaseun ( Faculty of Engineering); Joel Emmanuel Benson, Mathew Friday, Babalola Mathew, Owolabi Fuhad Nurudeen and Ojewole Grace Oluwaseun ( Faculty of Agriculture);  and Ibrahim Dauda Abdulrahman( Faculty of Science).

Director of the Centre for Undergraduate Research( CUR), Dr Taibat Atoyebi, said the 10 students  scaled through the screening after a plagiarism test conducted on their proposals  for the grant. She added that 46 students had expressed their interest in the grant, out of which 25 were shortlisted.
