UNIABUJA Women Association Holds Maiden Sisters Connect Picnic to Foster Bonding and Community
Members of the University of Abuja Women Association (UAWA) have gathered for the maiden edition of the Sisters Connect Picnic held at Millennium Park, Abuja, as part of efforts to strengthen relationships, promote unity, and create a supportive community among women of the institution.

The event provided members with an opportunity to relax, interact, and build stronger connections beyond their professional responsibilities within the university environment.
Speaking at the gathering, the Patroness of UAWA, Dr. Hadeezat O. Fawehinmi, described the picnic as a valuable platform for members to unwind, bond, and encourage one another.
She noted that the Sisters Connect initiative was designed to foster meaningful relationships and enhance a greater sense of belonging among women across the university community.
The President of UAWA, Professor Rebeccah Ndana, expressed appreciation to members for their impressive participation and commitment to the success of the event.

Professor Ndana stated that the association looks forward to organising more editions of the initiative as part of efforts to sustain engagement, collaboration, and mutual support among members.
