UNIBEN Governing Council Commends Oba of Benin for His Role in Promoting National Unity

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Governing Council has lauded Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, for his exceptional contributions to fostering peace and unity across Nigeria.
The praise came during a recent visit to the Oba’s Palace in Benin City. Professor Shaibu Umar, Chairman and Pro-Chancellor of the UNIBEN Governing Council, highlighted the Oba’s influence on national harmony and stability. Professor Umar described the Oba’s efforts as crucial, not just for Edo State, but for the entire country.

Oba Ewuare II acknowledged the importance of the university’s role and pledged his support. The UNIBEN delegation, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Lilian Salami, included other key university officials.
