UNICEF Green Rising Initiative Takes Root in Ahmadu Bello University

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has embarked on a mission to build the capacity of youths in climate change intervention through its Green Rising initiative in Ahmadu Bello University (ABU).

The Focal Point for Climate Change with UNICEF, Theresa Pamma, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, to discuss the project's objectives and progress.

The UNICEF official expressed appreciation for the partnership between ABU and UNICEF, highlighting the university's history of tree planting and environmental friendliness. She encouraged the institution to continue preserving its environment-friendly culture.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, assured that the university would ensure every graduating student plants a tree before graduation. He also expressed gratitude to Theresa Pamma and UNICEF for their interest in the university's environmental sustainability efforts.
