The Faculty of Engineering, University of Delta Agbor, has recognized academic excellence by awarding the top five students of the 2023/2024 session during its orientation exercise.

Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Obiazi Adagbonyin, announced that the awards were based on the students' exceptional CGPAs, aimed at inspiring academic excellence. The recipients and their GPAs are:

Ewomazino Confidence: 4.96

Lotachukwu Emmanuel: 4.95

Chinedu Godswill: 4.89

In their remarks, the awardees expressed gratitude and pledged to maintain their performance.

Prof. Obiazi emphasized the faculty’s commitment to producing skilled and innovative engineers through rigorous academic programs, advanced research facilities, and strong industry ties. He assured students of quality teaching from experienced lecturers dedicated to their success.

Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi urged students to prioritize both theoretical and practical learning, noting the availability of world-class equipment. Prof. (Mrs.) Regina Arisi, VC representative at Owa Alero Campus, also advised students to focus on academics over social distractions.

The orientation featured insights from seasoned engineers Odili E.O, Nduka Azike, Akpo Umukoro, Blessing Joseph Ossai, and Mr. Dono.
