The Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta, Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to staff members for their tremendous contributions to the growth and success of the institution.
Speaking during the September Edition of UNIDEL Prays, held at the 1000 Capacity Hall, Agbor Campus, Prof. Chiemeke commended staff for their loyalty and dedication, noting that the remarkable progress recorded by the university would not have been possible without their collective efforts.
She emphasized that within a short span of its establishment, UNIDEL had evolved into an institution of excellence because staff had proven themselves to be reliable co-travellers in the success journey. Applauding the theme of the programme, the Vice Chancellor underscored the irreplaceable role of prayers, stressing that a community united in fervent prayers would always have testimonies to share. She attributed the institution’s milestones to divine grace, giving God the glory for the great works unfolding at UNIDEL.
Delivering an exhortation titled “The Power of the Tongue”, the preacher, Bro. Best Ugala, urged staff to exercise caution in the use of their tongues. Quoting from the book of Proverbs, he explained that the tongue could either build or destroy, depending on how it was used, and admonished staff to employ it constructively.
In his vote of thanks, the Registrar, Barr. Richmond Omagbemi, applauded the staff for their collaborative spirit in advancing the university. He further charged Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments to be proactive and timely in submitting students’ results to the Senate, reminding them of the approaching academic session.

The programme also featured sessions of praise, worship, and intercessory prayers.
In attendance were the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Patricia Mbah; the Bursar, Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu; the Librarian, Dr. (Mrs.) Vera Okonoko; Deans, Heads of Departments, professors, Senior Deputy Registrars, and other members of the university community.
