UNIDEL Hostel Fees: Landlord Association Chairman Assures Students of Intervention on High Costs of Rent

The Chairman of the Ika Landlord and Landladies Association, Mr. Vincent Arimokwu, has assured students at the University of Delta (UNIDEL) Agbor that efforts are underway to address the rising costs of hostel accommodations.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with newsmen, Mr. Arimokwu acknowledged students' concerns over escalating rental fees and pledged that the association would work to mediate these challenges.

Mr. Arimokwu explained that the costs associated with maintaining and renovating student hostels have significantly increased, citing rising prices for building materials and labor. "The cost of cement, along with labor expenses, has surged," he stated, noting that these financial pressures have driven some landlords to raise rents to cover maintenance costs.
