The University of Jos has officially announced the commencement of the second phase of condonement for candidates who were admitted without undergoing the proper Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) procedures. This announcement follows a recent circular received from JAMB, aimed at addressing irregular admissions within the university.

Date: September 25, 2024

According to the Vice-Chancellor's office, this new phase targets candidates who possess JAMB registration numbers but were not properly processed through CAPS since 2017. This comes after the first phase, which focused on candidates without registration numbers.

2. Deadline: The deadline for these disclosures is September 30, 2024. After this date, JAMB will not entertain any further declarations regarding these admissions.

3. Consequences of Non-Compliance: JAMB has stressed that any admissions granted improperly during the specified periods (pre-2017 and from 2017 to 2020) will not be recognized unless disclosed within the one-month window. Only students listed in the submissions will be permitted to register with the Board.

This initiative is part of JAMB's efforts to rectify past admissions irregularities and ensure that the CAPS remains the sole authorized platform for university admissions. The University of Jos urges all affected candidates and stakeholders within the university community to comply with these directives to secure their admissions status.
