The University of Lagos (UNILAG), in partnership with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Lagos, is set to host a public lecture on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Tayo Aderinokun Lecture Theatre, UNILAG, Akoka.

Themed "The Climate Crisis & the Global Energy Transition: Challenges & Opportunities," the lecture will feature insights from Germany’s State Secretary & Special Envoy for International Climate Action at the Federal Foreign Office, Berlin, Mrs. Jennifer Morgan.

Mrs. Jennifer Morgan brings a wealth of experience to the discussion, having studied Political Science and International Relations at Indiana University, Bloomington, and earning a Master’s degree in International Affairs at The American University in Washington, D.C. Her distinguished career includes serving as Managing Director of Greenpeace International (GP) from 2016 to 2022, as well as holding leadership positions at WWF International and the World Resources Institute (WRI).
