The management of the Distance Learning Institute at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued a warning to applicants and new students about fraudulent individuals posing as university representatives. These scammers have been contacting students, urging them to make payments for various services.

The institute clarified that it has no affiliation with these individuals and advised students to disregard any such payment requests. All official communications and payment instructions from UNILAG will be directly from the university's established channels.
