The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, recently met with His Excellency KIM Pankyu, the Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, to explore collaboration opportunities between the two nations’ academic institutions.
The meeting, held at the Korean Embassy in Abuja, focused on establishing robust exchange programs with Korean universities, particularly in Arts, Engineering, and Sciences. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for fostering innovation and technology partnerships, aiming to bridge Nigerian and Korean academic landscapes.
A key topic of discussion was the upcoming Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Games. Highlighting UNILAG’s commitment to industry-relevant education, Professor Ogunsola emphasized the university’s initiative to co-create curricula with industry partners. This approach aims to equip graduates with the skills needed to meet the evolving demands of the global job market.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with Professor Ogunsola extending invitations to Ambassador KIM for upcoming events, including the FASU Games’ opening ceremony and the UNILAG International Week.
