UNILORIN Announces 25% School Fees Rebate for Staff’s Children

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Prof. Wahab Egbewole, has approved a 25% school fees rebate for the children of the university’s staff members. This decision was announced by the university’s registrar, Mr Mansur Alfanla, in Ilorin on Thursday.

Alfanla stated that the Vice-Chancellor’s decision reflects a deep understanding of the economic challenges facing the country and is a positive step towards supporting the university community. He advised staff members to check their emails regularly and respond to the provided links for participation between Dec. 7 and Dec. 8.

The rebate applies to officially registered biological children, covering both freshers and returning students. According to Alfanla, up to four children of staff members are eligible for the rebate.

Reacting to the development on behalf of other unions, the ASUU Chairman, Mr Alex Akanmu, commended Prof. Egbewole and the entire management for the positive move. (NAN)
