UNILORIN graduands are nation-builders - VC

As hundreds of individuals from all walks of life converged on the University of Ilorin to participate in the Day II of the 37th and 38th combined convocation ceremonies of the University penultimate Saturday (October 21, 2023), the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has assured the nation and  humanity at large of the high quality graduates produced by the institution.

The Vice Chancellor, whose speech was titled "The Future is Here", noted that graduates of the University are equipped and ready to contribute their quotas to nation building and also participate in other activities for the benefit of the global community.

The seasoned legal luminary noted that the graduands being celebrated have spent their years in the University acquiring knowledge and skills as he described them as industrious, hard working, dedicated, and unrelenting in their respective pursuit of knowledge.

While felicitating with the graduands, Prof. Egbewole said that they have demonstrated exceptional resilience, determination, and intellectual fortitude throughout their academic journeys at the University. He added that their achievements were testaments to their unwavering dedication to the pursuit of knowledge.

He urged them to be firm and resolute as they stand on the threshold of a new beginning in their lives, which their graduation from the University represented. He added that the University of Ilorin is immensely proud of each and every one of them.

The Vice Chancellor urged the graduands to look forward to the promise of a brighter future and advised them to keep learning by embracing emerging technologies that have liberalised skills acquisition. 

He also appreciated the Federal Government, the proprietor of the University, and all those who supported the University in one way or the other.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated all the staff of the University for their sacrifices, which culminated in the successful conclusion of the 2021/2022 academic session and the resultant convocation ceremonies.
