UNILORIN VC Prof. Egbewole Congratulates Jimoh on Appointment as KWASU VC

A 1988 graduate of the University of Ilorin, Prof.  Shaykh-Lukman Alade Jimoh, has been named the new Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete.

The appointment of  Prof. Jimoh by the Visitor to the University, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, follows the outcome of the screening exercise conducted by the university’s Governing Council where he placed first among the candidates.

Prof. Egbewole urged Prof. Jimoh, who graduated from the Unilorin’s Department of Religions in 1988, to use the privilege of his new office to contribute his quota towards the deepening of the progress and greatness of the 15 year-old University.

Prof. Jimoh, 60, is a recipient of several academic honours, including Best Graduating Student of the Department of Religions (University of Ilorin) 1988; University Undergraduate Scholarship Award (1987/1988); University Scholar 1987/1988).

He is a Fellow/member of many professional bodies such as Chartered Institute of Public Advocacy and Management and Council of Experts for International Centre on Contemporary Research in Islamic Sciences (United Kingdom). Prof. Jimoh hails from Igbaja in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
