The Management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma, Master of Science Degree, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in the Centre for Logistics and Transport Studies (CELTRAS) for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The Management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma, Master of Science Degree, and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in the Centre for Logistics and Transport Studies (CELTRAS) for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Admission Requirements/Duration

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Logistics/Transport Management

  1. 1st degree from Uniport or any other recognized university.
  2. HND or its equivalent (with at least an upper credit), and a recognized professional qualification in logistics/transport, with at least 5 years working experience in transport or related organization.
  3. The PGD is a Full/Part Time Programme.

The Full-Time programme runs for one academic session, while the Part-Time programme is for two academic sessions.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) Logistics/Transport Management

in the Areas:

  1. Road Transportation Management
  2. Rail Transportation Management
  3. Maritime Transport Management
  4. Air Transportation Management
  5. Pipeline Transportation Management
  6. Logistics & Supply Chain Management

The Admission Requirements for the above are:

  1. PGD in Logistics and/or Transport Management
  2. 1st Degree (not lower than Second Class Lower) in Transport, Logistics, or related discipline, e.g in Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Health Sciences. Geography, Town Planning. Engineering, etc.
  1. This programme shall be on a full/part-time basis.

The full-time M.Sc shall run for a minimum of 12 calendar months and a maximum of 24 calendar months; while the part-time shall run for a minimum of 24 calendar months and a maximum of 36 calendar months.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in:

  1. Transport Management
  2. Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

The admission requirements for the above are:

•M.Sc degree in logistics and/or transport management from the University of Port Harcourt or any other recognized university.

•M.Sc degree in Transport Economics.

•M.Sc degree in Transport Geography.

•M.Sc degree in Transport Management.

•M.Sc degree in Transport Engineering.

•M.Sc degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, etc., with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5 points scale

•The programme shall be on a Full/Part-time basis.

The Full Time shall run for a minimum of 24 calendar months, and a maximum of 48 Calendar months. The Part-Time shall run for a minimum of 48 calendar months, and a maximum of 72 calendar months.
