University of Abuja Announces Admission into 2025/2026 Remedial Science Programme

The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into its one-year Remedial Science Programme under the School of Advanced Basic and Remedial Studies for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the one (1) year Remedial Science Programme of the University of Abuja for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for admission into the Remedial Science Programme, candidates must have credits in the following subjects at GCE, WAEC, NECO/SSCE, or NABTEB:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Biology/Agricultural Science
• English Language
• Mathematics

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME

Candidates admitted into the Remedial Science Programme will undergo intensive studies for one academic session (2025/2026).
They are required to:

• Pass the two-semester remedial examinations.
• Meet the UTME cut-off mark for the University of Abuja.
• Register for post-UTME.
• Satisfy the entry requirement for enrolment into any science-based degree programme.

APPLICATION FORMS

Application forms can be purchased online at www.portal.uniabuja.edu.ng by following the steps below:

i. Visit www.portal.uniabuja.edu.ng
ii. Click on New Application and select Remedial.
iii. Fill in the required details and make a payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (₦15,000.00) only.
iv. Complete the online Application Form with a valid email address and active phone number.
v. After submission, candidates will be redirected to the payment platform.
vi. Write down the RRR number for reference.
vii. On successful payment, a form number is generated for the candidate.
viii. Tap and log in, complete the application form, then print and submit all necessary documents.
ix. Candidates are advised to check the University portal for possible admission using their Form Number as the username and Surname as the password.
x. For any payment issues, candidates should contact the Directorate of Information Technology, Management Services (ITMS) unit for assistance.

RETURN OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS

Candidates are to print and submit their completed forms with photocopies of the following documents:

1. Indigene Certificate
2. Birth Certificate
3. O’ Level Results/Certificate
4. Medical Certificate of Fitness
