According to the notice from the Office of the Registrar, the Harmattan Semester will commence on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with the arrival of new students on campus. Registration for fresh students begins the next day, Wednesday, November 5, while returning students are expected to resume on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Harmattan Semester

  • Lectures Begin: Monday, November 10, 2025
  • Convocation Ceremony: Thursday, December 4, 2025
  • Christmas and New Year Break: Monday, December 22, 2025 – Sunday, January 4, 2026
  • Matriculation Ceremony: Saturday, February 14, 2026
  • Lecture-Free/Revision Week: Monday, March 2 – Friday, March 6, 2026
  • Harmattan Semester Examinations: Monday, March 9 – Friday, March 27, 2026
  • Eid-El-Fitr Holidays: Monday, March 16 – Thursday, March 19, 2026
  • Semester Break: Monday, March 30, 2026

Rain Semester

  • Semester Commences: Monday, April 19, 2026
  • Lectures End: Friday, July 31, 2026 (Revision Week)
  • Examinations: Monday, August 3 – Saturday, August 15, 2026
  • End-of-Session Break: Saturday, August 22, 2026
  • Eid-El-Maulud Holiday: Wednesday, August 26, 2026

The University noted that the calendar aims to ensure a seamless and well-structured academic year for both staff and students, allowing adequate time for teaching, research, and administrative processes.
