University of Abuja Appoints Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi as Acting Vice-Chancellor
The 10th Governing Council of the University of Abuja, led by Air Vice-Marshal Saddiq Ismaila Kaita (Rtd), has officially approved the appointment of Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi as the acting vice-chancellor.
The 10th Governing Council of the University of Abuja, led by Air Vice-Marshal Saddiq Ismaila Kaita (Rtd), has officially approved the appointment of Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi as the acting vice-chancellor. The announcement was made following the inaugural meeting of the Council held today, Friday, July 5th, 2024.
Professor Maikudi, a distinguished scholar in International Law and former deputy vice-chancellor (academic), received unanimous support from the Senate during their 185th Regular meeting on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024. This recommendation aligns with the provisions outlined in Section 4, subsection (4b) of the University of Abuja Acts and section 5(13) of the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Act 2003.

In her response to the appointment, Professor Maikudi expressed her commitment to the university’s mission and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts. She stated:
