The University of Ibadan has signed a significant agreement with the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) Europe, aimed at connecting undergraduate students in Nigeria with postgraduate educational opportunities across Europe.

The University of Ibadan has signed a significant agreement with the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) Europe, aimed at connecting undergraduate students in Nigeria with postgraduate educational opportunities across Europe. This collaboration coincides with the 2024 edition of the GMAC Master's Tour 'Study in Europe,' designed to inform final-year undergraduates about educational, scholarship, and career prospects in Europe.

At the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Strategic Partnerships, Professor Oluyemisi Bamgbose, SAN, represented Vice-Chancellor Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, expressing gratitude to GMAC for this initiative.

Professor Bamgbose emphasized the trust placed in the University of Ibadan, stating that the institution's reputation as the first and best university in Nigeria and West Africa, and sixth in Africa, is well-deserved. She affirmed the University’s commitment to maintaining its legacy of excellence and its high global ranking, attributing this to the caliber of its researchers.

"The University of Ibadan is proud of its achievements and will continue to strive for excellence," she said, highlighting the University of Ibadan Postgraduate College as one of the best in Africa. She further noted that the UI School of Business is among the leading institutions in the world, making it an ideal partner for GMAC.
