University of Ilesa Staff Fatally Crushed by Fallen Container
In a tragic incident in Ilesa, Osun State, a staff member of the University of Ilesa (Unilesa), Mrs. Fanimo Ogunmokun, lost her life after being crushed by a fallen container.
Tragedy befell the University of Ilesa (Unilesa) community in Osun State on Wednesday as a senior official, Mrs. Fanimo Ogunmokun, met with a fatal accident when a cashew-laden container fell on her car.
The incident, which transpired on Campus Road during the afternoon, drew a crowd of sympathizers to the scene. Mrs. Ogunmokun was driving a wine-colored Toyota Corolla bearing registration number Lagos LSD 584GD when the container collapsed, trapping her vehicle underneath for hours.
Confirming the unfortunate event, Kehinde Adeleke, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), revealed that Mrs. Ogunmokun, who was set to retire this month, lost her life due to the accident.

"The tragic occurrence involved a cashew truck container owned by an agro-industry in Ilesa," stated Adeleke. "Following the collision, efforts were made to lift the container to retrieve Mrs. Ogunmokun's body, which has since been removed from the scene."
The incident has cast a pall of sorrow over the Unilesa community, as colleagues and well-wishers mourn the untimely loss of Mrs. Fanimo Ogunmokun, a dedicated member of the university staff. Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
