University of Ilorin Conducts Post-UTME Screening for Nearly 17,000 Candidates

No fewer than 16,920 candidates out of 18,098 registered for the 2023/2024 post-UTME screening exercise at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. The screening, conducted in a computer-based format, took place on the university campus from February 19 to February 23, 2024.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof Abayomi Omotesho, commended all candidates for adhering to examination rules throughout the exercise, noting no recorded incidents of malpractice or impersonation.

The screening concluded officially on February 22, 2024, with February 23, 2024, designated for mop-up to accommodate candidates unable to sit the test earlier.Results were promptly released daily to candidates, in line with the university's commitment to global best practices, attributed to the vision of Vice Chancellor, Prof Wahab Egbewole, SAN.

Candidates were assured that once the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board opens CAPS for the process, information on admission status will be posted on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Professor Kamilu Rauf, Director of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre, expressed satisfaction with the absence of technical issues during the examination period. Rauf thanked the university management for their support and assured readiness for upcoming examinations, including the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
