University of Jos Welcomes Students to 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Tanko Ishaya, has welcomed students to the 2024/2025 academic session. In a statement issued by the Directorate of Student Affairs on September 30, 2024, the university extended its greetings to returning students and expressed hope for a productive and successful academic year.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Christopher Piwuna, emphasized the importance of utilizing university email accounts for receiving vital information, including links for the upcoming Students Union Elections. Students were encouraged to resolve any issues with their emails by visiting the university’s ICT department.

Piwuna also addressed the ongoing electricity challenges on campus, urging students to practice energy conservation by switching off appliances when not in use. He further advised students to be ambassadors of responsible power management.
